Jane Park is the youngest EuroMillions winner in history. Six years ago, the Scottish woman was lucky enough to win 1.1 million dollars. However, her million-dollar lifestyle did not turn out to be what she expected… Park told the press that she is very bored and that she might take a job again.
Just seventeen years old
Jane Park from Scotland was only seventeen when she won the Mega Millions of 1 million pounds in 2013. This is the equivalent of about 1,159,000 euro’s, a lot of money for such as young person! Park lived carefree in the spotlights for a couple of years and shared her life with about 130.000 followers on Instagram. She has an extravagant lifestyle, travels around the world and undertook some cosmetic operations.
Bored
An ordinary person probably doesn’t understand it, but even a life full of exotic destinations can be boring after six years. Jane Park wrote on Twitter that she and her best friend Chloé are bored with doing nothing at all. They’re thinking about taking a job to feel useful again.
Reactions on Twitter
Not surprisingly, the tweet caused a lot of reactions. Other people wrote that they would love to change their lives with hers for a week. A taxi driver said that she could drive his or her taxi for a week and see how ‘exciting’ that is. Another Twitter user commented that Park should start a business, perhaps even ten of them, so that she will never be bored again!
Was the British National Lottery negligent?
Jane Park commented on her million-dollar lifestyle before. In an interview with Sunday People in 2017 she said the lottery win had ‘ruined her life’. What’s more, the young millionaire even thought about filing a complaint against the British National Lottery because according to her they’ve been negligent. Park doesn’t agree with the fact that people can participate in British lotteries when they’re sixteen years or older. According to her, that’s way too young and the minimum age must be raised.
Life hasn’t become easier
Park also said that her life hasn’t become much easier after the big win. She would have loved to ‘run out of money’ and take a job like her friends. These friends doesn’t understand what she’s going through, Park commented.
