Emergency room staff wins $1 million Powerball prize from Michigan lottery. The Heroes to Zeroos Lottery Club, made up of 78 nurses, doctors and other health care workers from Traverse City, won the $1 million Powerball prize.
Lottery club Heroes to Zerooos brought in five white balls in October. The 31 drawings that won the grand prize: 13-19-36-39-59. Club representative Bernard Bossert Jr. bought the winning ticket at the CVS Pharmacy at 626 West Front Street in Traverse City.
Club members received their checks this week at MiddleCoast Brewing in Traverse City. Each club member will receive approximately $12,800.”Everyone in our club is ecstatic. This award is a great reward for all of us over the holidays,” Bossett Jr. said.
The Powerball jackpot was last won on Nov. 19. A lottery ticket purchased in Kansas won a jackpot of $93 million. The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is $325 million. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
